New Gadgets and TVs are more affordable than you realise Small or large? It’s a decision we face every day, whether we’re ordering in our local cafe or shopping around for the latest in cutting edge technology. Which is it to be? I look at my new tablet computer and I think I’ve made up my mind. Small. Lightweight. Beautiful. Inexpensive. The touch screen tablet is a little gem of technology, offering the most essential components of a PC condensed into a conveniently small package no wires, no mouse, no fuss. For me the Motorola Xoom is the most innovative new tablet it’s the first one with Google’s cutting edgeAndroid 3.0 (Honeycomb) operating system, which means the web browser is super fast. The 10.1-inch widescreen HD display with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution makes for high quality browsing. The video content is sparkling, rich and clear. The list of cool functions it features goes on and on. Motorola Xoom has a severe case of the wow factor. So small wins? Well, not necessarily. They do say variety is the spice of life, after all. When it comes to home entertainment, some might argue that big is best. Certainly, if you’ve never experienced the amazing power of watching films, playing games or enjoying a sporting event on a 50 inch LCD TV then you really haven’t seen everything that a modern television has to offer. So maybe big is the answer after all. Thankfully, there’s no need to choose. That’s the beauty of technology these days: there’s something for every occasion and every taste. Why decide between small and large when you can have both? |
